Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
1. “Hypostasis”
Director, DOP
I oversaw the production from pre-production through to shooting, managing overlapping deadlines with a very small team. Despite the pressures of a limited budget and minimal crew, I maintained focus and calm, while offering emotional support to actors working through delicate and challenging material. Much of the process involved moving across London with the actresses, engaging in difficult conversations drawn from my own life. Opening up to them and allowing myself to be vulnerable was unexpectedly liberating, it removed the need to perform as an authoritative figure. This intimate approach to filmmaking helped forge a strong bond with the actresses and created space to explore profound themes such as mental health, suicide, toxic relationships, and existential struggle.
2. “Wake Me Up When It’s All Over” (WHTNY Official Music Video)
Director, DOP, Executive Producer
Coordinated a team with varying experience levels, keeping the production on track while preserving creative vision. Fostered a supportive environment for performers and crew amid high-stress conditions.
3. Documentary “Anti” (for solo drummer Ryosuke Kiyasu)
Director, Producer
Handled all aspects of the documentary independently, adapting to unpredictable schedules and locations. Ensured subjects felt safe and comfortable while capturing the story authentically. Learned personally a lot about solitude, in my interview with Dr. Kiyasu. He explained that he hasn’t listened to any music that wasn’t his own for more than 3 years. Just to immerse himself inside his own drum patterns.
4. “Smoke City Scandal” – Episode 2 (Limited Series)
Director
Managed a collaborative episodic shoot with last-minute changes and overlapping deadlines. Guided actors through complex, delicate material, maintaining composure and focus throughout the process.
